The year – as realized later on – offers humankind the opportunity to understand time and its limits. How long should maceration in the oak barrels take? And for the 2002 label, the answer to this question is ten days. Man, who listens to what Nature has offered to the vineyard and which now belongs to its wine, understands. Time has to become perfect in its finitude and find the best alchemy for the best result. The harvest on September 28th and 29th is followed by the longest maceration so far and bottled after over two years of fining.
